According to Globo.com, the CBF released financial reports for round 17 of the Campeonato Brasileiro, and Flamengo posted their biggest gate profit of 2026 despite a 0-3 home defeat to Palmeiras.

The most anticipated first-half fixture sold out a week early and drew 71,205 to the Maracanã, with 67,251 paying.

Gross revenue reached R$ 7.748.220,00, with Flamengo retaining R$ 4.682.995,37 after operational costs.

Major outlays included "despesa Manual de Competições CBF 2026 Item 7.1 3", linked to member discounts below half-price, at R$ 1.125.347,25, and "despesas do estádio", covering utilities and related costs, at R$ 696.987,29.

It is the club's largest league-match gate profit and their highest since the 2024 Copa do Brasil final first leg, when they kept R$ 11.5 million from a R$ 15.6 million gross in a 3-1 win over Atlético-MG. Conmebol fixtures are excluded because the confederation does not publish these reports, and the club stopped sharing them in 2018.

Other top home profits in 2026, excluding Libertadores and Recopa Sul-Americana, were R$ 3.803.427,47 against Santos, R$ 3.088.136,55 against Vasco, R$ 2.964.368,74 against Bahia and R$ 2.044.013,00 against Remo.
