Flamengo set Lucas Paquetá to wear 20 after Rio arrival | OneFootball

Lucas Paquetá arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday 29 to report to Flamengo, who have set his shirt number at 20.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he was greeted by supporters at Galeão International Airport before heading for medical tests at a clinic.

He will then undergo further assessments at the Ninho do Urubu training complex. If everything is in order, he is expected to sign a five-year deal running to the end of the 2030 season.

Flamengo have offered €42 million, around R$ 260 million, to West Ham for his transfer. The English club have accepted and will receive the fee in instalments through to the end of 2028.

Once his contract is lodged on the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário, he will be eligible to play for Flamengo. The club are racing against time to have him available against Corinthians.
