Flamengo published its January to March 2026 balance, setting a club-record quarterly investment of R$ 469 million across transfers and contract activity.
A large share went on Lucas Paquetá, whose return from West Ham in England was agreed at 42 million euros, about R$ 260 million at January rates. Including taxes, signing-on and agent fees, the total outlay reached R$ 315.7 million.
Vitão, bought from Inter with a R$ 26 million offset linked to Thiago Maia’s sale, cost R$ 81.5 million in total. Andrew, signed from Gil Vicente in Portugal, had a total cost of R$ 34.7 million.
Player sales generated gross revenue of R$ 47 million, similar to the R$ 46.4 million recorded a year earlier. Juninho’s move to Pumas in México brought in R$ 25.6 million, Victor Hugo’s switch to Atlético-MG R$ 10.7 million, and Iago’s transfer to Orlando City in the United States R$ 6.2 million.
Overall revenue reached R$ 383 million, up 35% on the first quarter of 2025, yet the club posted a R$ 63.9 million deficit which it attributed to R$ 92.3 million in amortisation of economic rights, including January signings. Flamengo ended March with R$ 70.5 million in cash, of which R$ 27.4 million sits under Fla-Flu Serviços S.A., which runs the Maracanã.
In its Economic and Financial Transparency Report, the club said it remains confident of sustained revenue growth and stronger recurring results through 2026. It noted that, even without last year’s extraordinary income such as Club World Cup prize money, the maturing commercial base is offsetting that effect and underpinning a solid operational path.
