Flamengo look set to lose 18-year-old forward Ryan Roberto on a free after rejecting three bids from Europe. According to Coluna Do Fla, the teenager does not plan to renew and, with his contract up in March, can sign a pre-contract in October.

Recent offers from Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine, CSKA of Russia and Lille of France were turned down. Flamengo had indicated openness to Lille's proposal, but no agreement was reached with the player's representatives.

His camp believe first-team chances would be limited, and had asked for a career plan. The club pledged to promote him to the senior squad in 2027, yet that did not change the decision.

Once it became clear a renewal was unlikely, Flamengo removed him from the under-20 side and he has been training alone at Ninho do Urubu. His last game was on 22 April against Fluminense in the Brasileirão Sub-20.

With Ryan Roberto sidelined, the under-20s face América-MG on Wednesday 27 in the 14th round of the Brasileirão Sub-20, at Estádio Castor Cifuentes in Minas Gerais. Kick-off is at 15h Brasília time.
