Florent Ghisolfi ‘linked with’ midfield target as Sunderland ‘to eye’ Barcelona forward

Sunderland have been linked with FC Lorient midfielder Arthur Avom. Barcelona forward Roony Bardghji has also been touted for a summer move that could involve the Black Cats.

Avom, 21, is a Cameroon international with 14 caps and worked under head coach Regis Le Bris at Lorient. He has been on Sunderland’s radar across recent months.

TEAMtalk reports that Barcelona are willing to sanction an exit for Bardghji this summer, either on loan or permanently. Sunderland are listed among interested Premier League clubs alongside Leeds United, Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford and Everton.

The 20-year-old joined from FC Copenhagen last year and featured 28 times in 2025/26, totalling 872 minutes. He scored two goals and provided four assists.
