Real Madrid have locked in for the season ahead, having already signed four players in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Their next big target is Michael Olise, who has been identified as the ideal Galactico signing for Florentino Perez.

The Real Madrid president has promised a big-money signing to fans this summer and Olise fits the bill, given his huge impact for Bayern Munich and the France national team.

Perez not ready to give up despite doubts

According to Miguel Serrano, however, Real Madrid’s CEO Jose Angel Sanchez, as well as chief scout Juni Calafat, believe a deal for Olise is not possible this summer.

This is hardly surprising as Bayern Munich have shown no desire to offload their star player, despite Real Madrid’s overtures.

The German giants consider Olise a key component in the club’s plans and will not offload him at any cost. That is why both the CEO and the chief scout believe a deal might not be possible right now.

However, Serrano adds that Florentino Perez has not lost hope and still harbours the dream of signing Olise.

Can Real Madrid still sign Olise?

If Real Madrid are to sign Olise this summer, they would require a lot of things to go their way.

For one, Olise must publicly announce his desire to play at Santiago Bernabeu and decide to leave Allianz Arena, much like what Julian Alvarez has done at Atletico Madrid.

However, the Frenchman, for now, has stayed put and will not force an exit from Bayern Munich. Although the prospect of playing for Real Madrid intrigues him, it won’t come at the cost of his relationship with the Bavarian club.

It must also be noted that Olise has a contract at Bayern Munich until 2029, thus giving the Bavarians full leverage in terms of transfer negotiations. The club are also thinking of renewing the deal further.

A more prudent option, therefore, will be to play the waiting game and hope Olise eventually gets frustrated at Bayern.
