Florian Thauvin receives preliminary call-up to France national team | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport, Racing Club de Lens midfielder Florian Thauvin (32) has received a preliminary call-up to Didier Deschamp’s France squad for Les Bleus’ October internationals. It could potentially be the first time Thuavin will feature in a France squad since June 2019 against Andorra, where the Frenchman scored his only international goal. France face Azerbaijan at the Parc des Princes on October 10th before travelling to Reykjavik to play Iceland on the 13th in 2026 World Cup qualification. Deschamps is set to announce his official squad list on Thursday at 14:00 CET from the FFF headquarters.Thauvin has made a promising renaissance back in Ligue 1 with Lens this season, having scored twice and impressed for the Sang & Or as the attacking focal point under Pierre Sage this season.
