Florian Thauvin will be rested for Lens’s cup tie, with Régis Gurtner, Robin Risser’s regular deputy, starting in goal.
Lens face Entente Feignies Aulnoye (N2) in the Coupe de France round of 64 on Friday at 21:00. According to L'Équipe, coach Pierre Sage said he chose to give Thauvin time off after two national-team call-ups in November and December, noting he needed extra recovery in his thirties.

He added that this week compensates for rest days the forward missed while playing successive matches, aiming for him to return refreshed and at full capacity.
Jhoanner Chavez is out with a thigh problem, and Jonathan Gradit remains in recovery.
The Malian Mamadou Sangaré is away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
