FC Barcelona is a dream destination for most players, and it is a dream that many simply cannot say no to. Even recently, a notable English Premier League player, who is also one of Barcelona’s defensive targets, openly admitted the same.

Daniel Munoz, aged 29, is a Colombian defender who currently plays for Premier League side Crystal Palace. Currently on international duty with his country, he recently confessed that joining a club like Barça would be a dream for him, as quoted by AS:

“People talk a lot about one club or another. For me, it would be a dream to play for a team like Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United. I work for that — every day I give everything, so maybe one day those clubs might take notice.”

However, €25 million-rated Colombian defender also admitted that his current focus would be solely on helping Crystal Palace as much as possible and his country:

“For now, I’m focused on my club and doing well at Crystal Palace. I’m not really aware of the rumours; I don’t have any information about whether those teams want me. We’ll see when the winter window gets closer. Right now, my full focus is on these two matches with the national team.”

Considering Barça’s defensive woes this season, it would not be an absurd idea for them to consider potential defensive reinforcements. In that context, perhaps Munoz’s willingness to join could prove to be an interesting element that might be worth keeping an eye out for.
