As reported by Sky Germany, former Bundesliga head coach Bo Svensson is set to become the new manager at FC Copenhagen in Denmark.
The Danish native has been in talks with the club over the weekend, when they sacked their manager, Jacob Neestrup.
The 46-year-old is expected to be announced as the new coach on Monday, signing a contract until 2031. Svensson will be expected to steady the ship at Copenhagen after a disastrous campaign saw them finish in the bottom half of the table, meaning they’re now playing to ensure safety as the league splits into two. The Danish giants currently sit six points above the relegation places.
Svensson brings Bundesliga experience, particularly from his time at Mainz 05, as well as a brief spell at Union Berlin. The Dane spent four seasons at the 05ers and most notably achieved a 6th place finish and a place in the Europa League.
