It has been reported by The Athletic that there is a developing situation at The City Ground as Nuno Espirito Santo has had a spectacular fallout with Edu at Nottingham Forest.
The former Arsenal Director of Football was appointed Forest’s global head of football but it has been reported that he has fallen out with the manager with the ex-Tottenham and Wolves boss the ‘aggressor’.
Forest manager Nuno spoke about the change in the relationship between the manager and the owner, Evangelos Marinakis, which has had many speculate that a parting of the way might be in the offing.
One name that has been touted with a move to back to the Premier League is Ange. The Australian manager is friendly with Forest’s owner and even spent time on holiday after Ange’s first season at Celtic.
Ange became a European trophy winner after clinching the Europa League with a win over Manchester United. Despite this silverware, Daniel Levy made the decision to sack Ange due to his decision to prioritise Europe over domestic form.
Celtic took Ange from Yokohama F Marinos where he was tasked with rebuilding after the disastrous COVID-19 season. The former Australian manager forged together a team that managed to secure a double in his first campaign before then bringing a Treble in his second club.
Brendan’s deal expires at the end of the new season, which has prompted suggestions that Ange could return for a second spell. However, that seems far fetched with Ange unlikely to want to return to Glasgow’s East End.
