With four games left, the relegation picture is tight. According to BuLi News, seven clubs remain at risk, namely St. Pauli, Wolfsburg, Heidenheim, Köln, Hamburg, Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Heidenheim sit 18th on 19 points and face an all or nothing meeting with St. Pauli. Defeat confirms relegation, a draw leaves hopes slim with Bayern next. Relegation threat 95%.
Wolfsburg chase 16th, two points off St. Pauli. Recent results include a 2-1 win over Union Berlin. Bayern, Freiburg and a final-day trip to St. Pauli loom. Relegation threat 60%.
St. Pauli’s 1-1 home draw with Köln felt costly, and their goal shortage persists at a league-low 26. They visit Heidenheim then host Mainz before meeting Wolfsburg. The run-in looks kind, yet 16th seems likelier than direct safety. Relegation threat 45%.
Four sides sit on 31 points, five off 16th, namely Köln, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Hamburg and Werder Bremen. Köln appear safest on goal difference and, despite Ragnar Ache’s season-ending injury, still have Jakub Kaminski and 19-year-old Saïd El Mala with 27 combined goal contributions. FC Köln relegation threat 10%.
Hamburg’s run-in is unkind, no bottom six opponents and all four in the top eight. Gladbach, leakier with 50 conceded, seek three points at Wolfsburg to avoid a tricky finish. Bremen, boosted by a Nordderby win, eye Augsburg at home next week as their best chance. Threats: Hamburg 25%, Gladbach 15%, Werder Bremen 25%.
