Liam Rosenior has been speaking to the BBC ahead of Chelsea’s game against Hull in the FA Cup, and has pointed out that he’s still learning about his group.

“It is an emotional game for me and my family, but we have a job to do. We want to get as far as we can in this competition. We have to be really at it from the first whistle,” the manager said as he prepares to face the club he’s both played for and managed before.

“Every game is an opportunity. I am getting to know the group. I want to see a good character and spirit about the team. I have learnt a lot about the group, and I am looking forward to learning more about them.”

He will indeed learn a lot tonight, and there are some interesting things to see from some individuals – Jorrel Hato may have to play a fair bit in the weeks to come if Marc Cucurella’s injury is as bad as we fear. Estevao is getting a chance at number 10, and we’re curious to see how he gets on. Alejandro Garnacho is looking to atone for some stinkers.

Liam Delap, against his former club, also needs to show what he can do now that Joao Pedro is in such hot form as our main striker.

In other news…

One Rosenior call we’re really not sure about is picking Moises Caicedo for his ELEVENTH start since the turn of the year. It seems an unnecessary risk to us…

The full team news from the game is here, so you can take a look at the other decisions which Rosenior made for the match against Hull.
