France, Poland & Netherlands Stars To Return To Fitness For Inter Milan Vs Roma Serie A Showdown | OneFootball

Marcus Thuram, Piotr Zielinski, and Denzel Dumfries will return to fitness in time for Inter Milan’s Serie A clash with Roma this weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Zielinski and Dumfries should be back in full training tomorrow.

Inter Milan are currently without a few players due to injury.

Striker Marcus Thuram suffered muscular fatigue in his thigh after Inter’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich last week.

Meanwhile wingback Denzel Dumfries and midfielder Piotr Zielinski have been out for longer. They have not played since the end of the March international break, as they recover from more serious muscle injuries.

Thuram, Zielinski, and Dumfries all missed Inter’s Serie A loss to Bologna on Sunday.

And the Gazzetta confirm that all three of the trio will be unavailable for this evening’s Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against AC Milan.

However, reports the Gazzetta, returns are imminent for all of Thuram, Zielinski, and Dumfries.

In the case of the latter two, the Gazzetta reports that they have been training with the Under-20 players.

And the newspaper report that the signs have been positive.

Therefore, it is likely that Zielinski and Dumfries will return to full training with the rest of the senior squad tomorrow.

That will give the pair plenty of time to prepare for Inter’s next match. They host Roma in Serie A this weekend.

Meanwhile, Inter are managing the fitness of Marcus Thuram after the Frenchman’s muscle problem against Bayern.

However, Thuram is not carrying a serious injury. Therefore, he should be able to get into condition to be part of the squad to face Roma.
