France lock horns with Morocco tonight in the first 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final. The game will be held at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium, a stone’s throw from Les Bleus‘ Boston base camp. The Atlas Lions will seek to get their revenge after losing the 2022 World Cup semi-final to Didier Deschamps’ men, with Théo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani on the scoresheet. Kick-off time is set a 10pm CET.

Deschamps is not expected to bring any major changes to the side that beat Sweden (3-0) and Paraguay (1-0) in the knockout stage. Although Aurélien Tchouaméni returned to team training yesterday, the Real Madrid midfielder is not expected to feature against Morocco. Adrien Rabiot and Manu Koné are expected to form France’s double midfield pivot.

Up front, Désiré Doué is set to get the nod instead of Bradley Barcola. The latter started against Paraguay, but he had minimal influence in the game, and was also booked. On the contrary, the player that replaced him – Doué – proved decisive in obtaining the game-winning penalty. The Rennes winger could therefore be rewarded for his cameo off the bench with a start against Morocco.
