Eintracht Frankfurt issued fitness updates on Arnaud Kalimuendo and Rasmus Kristensen after the win. The club said in a statement that Kalimuendo will not be sidelined for long, while Kristensen is out for the time being with an ankle injury.
Albert Riera ended Frankfurt’s winless run in his first home match as head coach with a 3-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Twenty-year-old attacker Jean-Mattéo Bahoya was influential in a dominant opening half, providing two assists to Nathaniel Brown and Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab.
Both Kalimuendo and Kristensen featured only before the interval. Kalimuendo, a January signing and a Frenchman, was substituted early after injuring his shoulder when finishing from an offside position.
Kristensen, the full-back, was withdrawn at half-time and will undergo further examinations.
