Dusan Vlahovic remains without a club after becoming a free agent on 1 July after his contract at Juventus expired.,

Now, according to MARCA, the Serbian striker is continuing to delay a decision on his future while hoping for an opportunity to join Barcelona.

Several years ago, Juventus paid around €75 million to sign Vlahovic after his impressive performances with Fiorentina made him one of Serie A’s most sought-after forwards. However, his spell in Turin never fully lived up to expectations.

Inconsistent form became a recurring issue, and he ultimately decided not to renew his contract with Juventus, becoming available on the market as a free agent this summer.

Besiktas waiting for an answer

Besiktas have presented Vlahovic with a lucrative offer in an attempt to secure his signature.

The Turkish club are offering a signing bonus of close to €5 million, along with a salary of just under €10 million per season.

Although the Serbian international has already travelled to Istanbul, he has yet to respond to the proposal.

As the days pass without an answer, Besiktas are becoming increasingly frustrated, and their confidence in completing the transfer is beginning to fade.

Barcelona remains Vlahovic’s priority

Vlahovic has not made a decision because he is still waiting for Barcelona. The striker has already held talks with Barcelona sporting director Deco and believes he could fill the vacancy left by Robert Lewandowski’s departure.

He also sees further opportunity if Ferran Torres completes a move to PSG.

Barcelona are fully aware of Vlahovic’s situation. The striker understands that the financial package the Catalan club could offer would not match the terms available in Turkey, but his ambition to play at Camp Nou remains unchanged.

A deal that could suit Barcelona

Hansi Flick has been looking for a striker capable of leading the press from the front, in the mould of Ferran.

However, both Deco and club president Joan Laporta view Vlahovic as an attractive market opportunity because he is available on a free transfer, giving Barcelona greater financial flexibility.

For now, the situation remains on hold, but the possibility of a move to the Blaugrana could be revived in the coming weeks.
