Nottingham Forest've officially parted ways with Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo after months of tension behind the scenes.

Club Statement

In statement, Forest confirmed:

"The club's relieved Nuno Espirito Santo of his duties as head coach following recent circumstances. We thank him for his contribution during successful era at the City Ground especially his role in the 2024 /25 season which will be remembered in club history"

Why Forest Pulled the Trigger

English journalist Ben Jacobs reported that owner Evangelos Marinakis had been considering the change for some time particularly after Nuno admitted publicly to issues in his relationship with the board.

The arrival of former Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar intensified the dispute with disagreements over transfers including the failed move for Adama Traore , proving decisive.
