Renato Marin has gone from centre-back to goalkeeper and now represents Paris Saint-Germain, having first stood out at Palmeiras alongside Endrick, Luis Guilherme and Vitor Reis.
According to Nosso Palestra, he won the Paulista Under-11 with that group, then joined São Paulo and added the Under-13 title.
Eager to play every match, he accepted an invitation to try in goal and quickly felt it was where he belonged. His years in futsal and time as an outfield player sharpened his work with the ball at his feet.
He later moved to Roma with his mother for support and began his career in Italy. He won youth honours at Under-16 and Under-17, was runners-up in the Coppa TIM Primavera in 2024, and at 18 was named Italy’s Under-20 Goalkeeper of the Year. He signed his first professional deal at the club.
With Italian citizenship, he represented the country at Under-18 and Under-19. In July 2025, aged 19, he joined PSG, where the goalkeeping work also places emphasis on distribution.
Marin has split his time between the senior squad and the Under-23s and made his first-team debut in December 2025.
He has lifted the French Super Cup in 2025 and the Intercontinental Cup in 2025. He says he is happy and is aiming to earn his place and represent PSG.
