Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has ‘already agreed’ a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr this summer.

The 30-year-old could be set to leave the Etihad Stadium, despite hope that the Brazilian shot-stopper would become the third Manchester City goalkeeper to sign a new contract this summer, following in the footsteps of both Stefan Ortega and Scott Carson.

Manchester City agreed new deals with both Ortega and Carson ahead of the 2024/25 season, with the Sky Blues securing a fresh deal until 2026 with Ortega, despite the German initially stalling negotiations and being linked with a summer exit from east Manchester.

The 31-year-old, who moved to Manchester City on a free transfer and featured 20 times last season, could be propelled to become Guardiola’s new first-choice goalkeeper, amid growing fears surrounding the future of Ederson.

Ederson continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, where former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte and Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo are both currently employed.

The goalkeeper has been at the Etihad Stadium since a £35 million move from Benfica in 2017, and has made over 330 appearances and won six Premier League titles with Manchester City.

The Brazilian international returned to the City Football Academy for pre-season on Monday, but could still leave the club this summer, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the 30-year-old has ‘already agreed’ to move to Al-Nassr.

The transfer is reportedly dependent on both Manchester City and Al-Nassr agreeing a fee however, after Al-Nassr’s initial proposal worth €30 million was rejected, with a ‘big gap’ between valuations.

Etihad executives are claimed to want upwards of €50 million to sell the goalkeeper this summer, with Manchester City also needing to potentially enter the transfer market to sign a replacement for the goalkeeper.

Manchester City are also braced for the potential exit of Julian Alvarez this summer, meanwhile trio Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker and Matheus Nunes have been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
