Reports in Italy confirm that Milan could receive up to €70m from Manchester City through their sale of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, which included a fixed fee of €57.7m, slightly higher than the widely-reported sum of €55m.
Reijnders switched Milan for Man City in June during the transfer window that was briefly opened before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Though multiple outlets reported the transfer fee to be worth €55m plus bonuses, a report from Calciomercato.com provides the full breakdown of the deal, including the exact details of the bonus clauses in the Dutchman’s contract.
According to Tuesday’s update, Milan received a fixed fee of €57.7m from Man City for Reijnders’s services. The Rossoneri could also earn up to €14m in additional bonuses over the next five years.
€6m of those bonuses are considered ‘easily achievable’. Milan will receive an additional €5m if Man City qualify for the Champions League and an extra €1m in the event that Reijnders wins the Premier League title during his time at the Etihad.
Milan will also be entitled to an extra €2m if Man City win the Champions League with the former Milan midfielder in their squad.

The Rossoneri will also receive €1m if Reijnders wins the Premier League player of the year award and another €2m if he goes on to win the Ballon d’Or.
Man City will have to pay an extra €1m if Reijnders stays for the full duration of his contract, until 2030, plus an extra €1m if he stays until 2031 and another €1m if he stays until 2032.
With the potential for €14m in bonuses in addition to the guaranteed fee of €57.7m, Milan could earn a maximum of €70.7m from their sale of Reijnders.
