Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior are currently stuck at an impasse in negotiations over a new deal for the winger, whose current contract expires in less than two years’ time. The club are determined to stand firm in their stance on the matter, and this has been amplified during new revelations.
As things stand, the terms offered by Real Madrid have done nothing to appease Vinicius or his representatives, with both parties seeking better financials in order to sign on the dotted line. And according to Okdiario (via MD), among their demands is a significant renewal bonus, likely similar to the signing-on fee that Kylian Mbappe received following his move from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024.

Roc Nation Sports, the North American agency that is in charge of negotiating Vinicius’ renewal, is seeking this to be added into the 24-year-old’s new contract, but at this stage, Real Madrid have absolutely no intention of agreeing to this, and likewise, they are no plans for this stance to be relaxed.
Despite this, the feeling within Real Madrid is that an agreement will be reached with Vinicius and his camp in the coming months – crucially, before the deadline set for talks to be finalised. Los Blancos will not allow the matter to run into the final year of the Brazil international’s current deal, which would suggest that an active effort would be made to sell him next summer if nothing is done before then.
It remains to be seen whether there is an amicable outcome on his matter, but Real Madrid certainly hope this will be the case. They want Vinicius to stay, although they have made it clear that he will only get a new deal on their terms – and if not, he’ll be gone.
