Gabigol has been cleared on the CBF BID and may make his Santos debut against Novorizontino on Saturday 10 at 16:00 at Vila Belmiro.

According to Diario Do Peixe, he is expected to be named in Santos' List A for the Paulistão and could feature, having arrived on loan from Cruzeiro until the end of the season.

He has been training normally, and the coaching staff were surprised by his fitness. There is even a chance he starts the club's first match of the year.

This year he is set to play in the state championship, Copa do Brasil, Brasileirão and the Sudamericana. Santos will cover about 60% of his monthly wages, with Cruzeiro topping up the remainder to reach R$ 2.5 million.

His contract with the Minas club runs to December 2028, and he had fallen out of Tite's plans there. The striker's agreement is valid until the end of 2026 and includes no option or obligation to buy. However, Santos hold priority if a proposal arrives, needing only to match another club's offer.

Last year he was sold to Cruzeiro after several seasons at Flamengo. He recorded four assists and 13 goals in 49 appearances in 2025. This is his third spell with Santos, and he was unveiled on Monday in the Marble Hall at Vila Belmiro, saying he is available to coach Vojvoda.
