Gabigol voted worst Série A signing of 2025 | OneFootball

Gabigol has been voted the worst signing of the 2025 Série A season.

According to Globo.com, the Cruzeiro forward topped a poll of 15 names with 8,050 of 15,549 votes, 51.78 per cent.

After six seasons at Flamengo, the 29-year-old was unveiled by Cruzeiro at the turn of the year on a deal to the end of 2028.

His campaign did not match his Flamengo heights. Wearing the number nine, he lost his place, became back-up to Kaio Jorge and watched his team-mate finish as Brasileirão top scorer.

Second in the vote was Flamengo right-back Emerson Royal with 1,501 votes, 9.65 per cent. Signed from Milan at the end of July for 9 million euros, R$ 58 million at the time, he never nailed down a spot. He posted one goal and one assist in 19 games.

Third was Fortaleza defender David Luiz with 947 votes, 6.09 per cent. He arrived at the start of the year after his Flamengo deal expired, but the stint lasted only half a season. He terminated his contract after 16 matches and moved to Pafos in Cyprus.
