Galarreta miracle for Copa derby as Valverde names 24 for Real Sociedad second leg | OneFootball

Ernesto Valverde has named 24 players for Athletic’s Copa semi-final second leg at Real Sociedad on Wednesday at Anoeta. The headline is Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta’s inclusion only two days after a shoulder dislocation at Rayo Vallecano. There was no medical bulletin.

According to AS, the coach has taken two more than the official 22 for the cup tie, so two will be omitted before kick-off. Injuries rule out Nico Williams, Prados and Sannadi, with Egiluz back training with the group, and Yeray Álvarez is suspended by FIFA. Yuri Berchiche and Aymeric Laporte have managed their workloads.

The squad will travel to Donostia on matchday, leaving Lezama by coach at 11:00 and due to arrive at the Hotel Arima Donosti at around 12:15.
