Galatasaray’s Champions League run has delivered a major cash boost, with total revenue reaching €53.5 million, according to Turkish-Football.com. UEFA is scheduled to pay out on March 27, the sum reflecting progress after their aggregate win over Juventus.

Okan Buruk’s side have been in stride across competitions. After clinching a Round of 16 berth, they beat Alanyaspor 3-1 in the Süper Lig, then won 2-1 away to the same opponents in the Turkish Cup on Tuesday despite eight key players missing.

In Alanya, Barış Alper Yılmaz won and converted a sixth-minute penalty and later laid on a first-half assist. New signing Renato Nhaga marked his first start with a 29th-minute goal and an industrious midfield display. The result put Galatasaray into the Turkish Cup quarter-finals as group leaders.

The total comprises participation money, league-phase performance bonuses and a knockout premium for eliminating Juventus.

Attention now turns to Liverpool in the Round of 16. The first leg is on Tuesday, March 10 at RAMS Park in Istanbul, before the return on Wednesday, March 18 at Anfield. RAMS Park is expected to be loud as Galatasaray aim to make home advantage count.
