Galatasaray have issued an unusual statement to dismiss claims linking them with Bayern Munich and Germany star Jamal Musiala in the summer window.
Hurriyet claimed the player had been offered to the Istanbul club on loan and that talks were at an advanced stage.
The club said in a statement that reports of any agreement with Musiala and Bayern were untrue, describing the note as a public clarification. The intervention was rare, since the Istanbul giants seldom address transfer rumours.
Musiala is preparing for the new season with Bayern, and neither the player nor the club has any intention of parting ways this summer.
He underwent surgery after Germany’s round of 32 exit at the 2026 World Cup, when Paraguay won on penalties. A metal plate was removed from his left foot and he is currently in recovery.
Mundo Deportivo added that Morocco international Ismael Saibari’s arrival at Bayern may increase competition for places, but it is not a sign of an imminent Musiala departure, with the forward still central to the club’s plans.
