Galatasaray have completed the signing of 18-year-old winger Can Armando Güner from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Süper Lig champions have moved for one of Germany’s most highly rated prospects to strengthen their attack.
The club said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform, KAP, that they agreed a net €350,000 fee with Mönchengladbach. Güner has reportedly signed a deal running to the summer of 2029.
Born in Krefeld to a Turkish father and an Argentine mother, he is eligible for three national teams. He has already represented both Germany and Argentina at youth level.
Most recently he played for Argentina at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. To aid his Süper Lig registration, he has reportedly obtained a Blue Card to count as a domestic player in Türkiye.
Güner came through Schalke 04’s Knappenschmiede before joining Gladbach in 2019. At Gladbach he helped lead the U17s to the German title and earned a reputation for pace and technical quality on both flanks.
In the first half of this season he made 14 appearances for Gladbach’s U19 and reserves, scoring 4 goals and adding several assists. He joins a busy winter window that also brought in Renato Nhaga and the returning Sacha Boey. Güner is not on Galatasaray’s updated UEFA Champions League list for the knockouts, and his signing is seen as a long-term strategic investment by manager Okan Buruk. The move offers the teenager a pathway to top-flight minutes in Istanbul.
