Galatasaray’s move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen stalls | OneFootball

Serie A side Napoli have stalled Galatasaray’s move for striker Victor Osimhen, days after the Turkish side seemed to have made a key move for the player.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that for now, talks for Osimhen have stalled. Napoli are looking for the right guarantees in Gala’s offer and as a result, they have decided to block the move. While UEFA do not require these guarantees, Napoli are still pushing for them.

These are currently tense hours for the negotiations. These guarantees are not required for domestic transfers but are needed for international transfers. Napoli are especially insistent on these and as a result, they are not proceeding with the move even if Gala have made it clear that they have triggered the player’s release clause.

Osimhen has agreed personal terms with Gala already and agent George Gardi has been at work to make a move possible, as he did in the summer of 2024.
