Huge news for Manchester City fans, as Gareth Taylor has today said that star player Bunny Shaw is back in training ahead their weekend game against Aston Villa.

Shaw has missed the last six games in a massive injury blow for City. Having scored 14 goals this season, she was a big miss and it’s no surprise City lost three of the games she was absent for.

Taylor said: “We had a small training group out on the pitch [today]. That included Bunny Shaw, which is good. Viv [Miedema] was there, Naomi Layzell as well.

“It’s potentially looking like we could be a little bit stronger, certainly from the sidelines, for the weekend.”

Given the Blues’ poor recent form, and the gap between themselves and leaders Chelsea growing to nine points, it is important they get back to consistently winning.

A derby win against Manchester United yesterday in the League Cup will have done their confidence no harm, and Taylor will be hoping they can take that momentum into the game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
