Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini spoke to the media during today’s press conference ahead of the match against Pisa.
The Italian technician discussed various topics including the transfer market.
“The team showed great spirit against Bologna, now we need to follow up tomorrow in Pisa,” said Gasperini.
“Ziolkowski is a Massara signing, and I trust his intentions and experience. He’s the right player to place behind Mancini and see how he develops in the future.”
“I’ve always thought that for a team to be sustainable, it needs to be strong and cohesive. Young players are fine, maybe even a few more would be welcome,” he added.
“Dybala? Dybala is someone who makes the difference but Roma must have its own team identity regardless of a single player.”
“Tomorrow’s attack will feature Ferguson, Dovbyk, Dybala, Baldanzi, El Shaarawy, Soulé, and Arena. We need to get the most out of this to win.”
“Dovbyk? If he plays, I will count on him to give his all,” he continued.
“Sancho? You should never beg anyone to come. Roma should be a great opportunity for these players.”
“Hermoso made himself available and played a great game against Bologna. He’s got the experience to do well. Initially, he was supposed to leave. It’s proof that everyone, including Dovbyk, has always been very available. I’d like you to highlight this quality, which helps build a strong team.”
“Pellegrini will be called up tomorrow. I’ve already explained the situation. I consider him a mature player, committed to Roma and open to making other choices for his future.”
