Gauchão team of the season: Grupo RBS journalists’ picks dominated by Grêmio and Inter | OneFootball

The Campeonato Gaúcho concluded on Sunday with Grêmio champions. After a 3-0 first leg, they drew 1-1 with Inter at Beira-Rio to seal their 44th state crown, the eighth in the past 10 years.

According to Globo.com, journalists from Grupo RBS named their Seleção do Gauchão, with finalists Grêmio and Inter supplying most choices. Grêmio captain Arthur was included in every XI.

Team-mates Carlos Vinícius, Amuzu, Weverton, Marlon, and centre-backs Gustavo Martins and Viery featured in the majority. From Inter, captain Alan Patrick, Bruno Gomes and Colombian forward Borré were among the most selected.

Outside the finalists, full-backs Cleiton of Ypiranga and Patryck Lanza of Juventude appeared widely. Juventude coach Maurício Barbieri finished the championship unbeaten.

In the individual mentions, many lists highlighted Amuzu or Carlos Vinícius as standout players, with Allex of Inter frequently named as the revelation.
