Gavi has insisted he is not interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain and says he wants to stay at Barcelona for his entire career.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to the European champions after struggling for a regular role under Hansi Flick.

Gavi started just 14 times in La Liga for Barcelona last season, after recovering from an ACL injury that sidelined the 20-year-old for 10 months.

Paris Saint-Germain have been named as suitors, with head coach and former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique a huge admirer of Gavi. Enrique gave Gavi his Spain debut in 2021, as the teenager became Spain’s youngest-ever debutant.

However, Gavi has insisted he is prepared to be patient in regaining his place at Barcelona, insisting he has no plans to leave despite Enrique’s interest in a reunion.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the midfielder said he is ‘calm’ on his situation and intends to remain with Barcelona for his ‘entire career’.

“People can believe the stories but that won’t happen. I’m calm here,” Gavi said.

“My dream and ambition is to stay at Barcelona my entire career. It’s the club of my life. I will do everything possible to stay here.”
