Gaviões da Fiel has called for the expulsion of Andrés Sanchez, Duílio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo from the membership of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, the group said in a statement. The demand is based on alleged misuse of club resources and successive scandals involving corporate cards, Taunsa and other contracts said to have harmed the institution.

The supporters’ board waited for a meeting on Monday 19 to consolidate positions, clarify doubts and present proposals. Founders, former Gaviões presidents, triennial councillors and executive board members attended, underlining a collective stance on transparency, legality and protecting Corinthians.

The organisation will press the Deliberative Council to expel the three former presidents and to advance debate on improving the Social Statute. No discussion over fresh elections at the end of the year will be accepted before the trio’s situation is resolved.

In the coming days, fans will be formally called to a peaceful protest at Parque São Jorge. The group will also keep track of public hearings and discussions on granting Fiel Torcedor voting rights within the statutory reform.

Since 1969, Gaviões da Fiel has maintained principles of transparency and the unconditional defence of Corinthians.
