GdS: Milan and Inter await answers as San Siro tender will expire by midnight | OneFootball

The public tender to gauge the interest for the San Siro area will expire at midnight. AC Milan and Inter, per the latest reports, are not expecting any competitors.

The political process for Milan and Inter to purchase the San Siro area, including the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, has been underway for some weeks now. 37 days, in fact, as highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport this afternoon.

Indeed, the public tender for the San Siro area was launched by the city council on March 24 and will expire at midnight (23:59). The goal of the tender is to understand whether there are other interested parties in the area, aside from Milan and Inter who have an ambitious plan for a new stadium in the area.

As expected, nothing has been leaked from the city council and the outcome of the tender will only be made known tomorrow. Having said that, Milan and Inter are not expecting any competitors for the area, which has been valued at €197m.

Nothing can be ruled out, of course, but it’s difficult to imagine another project in the area that could be profitable. Tomorrow should give us all the necessary answers and from there, Milan and Inter will move forward with the project (hopefully).
