Yann Bisseck could get the start ahead of Benjamin Pavard in today’s Serie A derby clash between AC Milan and Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan take on AC Milan in the derby this evening.

For both teams it’s a massive fixture, naturally.

And for the Nerazzurri, arguably even moreso. First of all, they have already lost twice in the derby – there will be a tremendous hunger for revenge.

Moreover, Inter will feel that three points are necessary to keep putting the pressure on Napoli in the Serie A title race.

As such, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has no doubt. He wants to play the strongest possible starting lineup.

The big team news for Inter is that midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will start.

That was the most significant doubt – Calhanoglu is only just returning from injury.

Mostly, there is not much of a question of which players will start.

However, reports the Corriere, there is one notable doubt in defense.

Subsequently, Benjamin Pavard is the favourite to start on the right of Inter’s back three. He has been nominally first-choice since arriving from Bayern Munich.

However, Yann Bisseck has also staked his claim on the position. And according to the Corriere, he’s a candidate to start this evening.
