Agustín Giay, 21, has been called up by Lionel Scaloni for Argentina after impressing for Palmeiras.
According to Nosso Palestra, he was not in the initial squad, but an injury to Montiel led Scaloni to add him for a warm-up friendly before the World Cup.

It is the 21-year-old’s first senior call-up, and it could help him push for a place at the World Cup in June.
Argentina face Mauritania on 27 March and Zambia on 31 March.
As a result, Flaco López and Giay will not be available to Abel Ferreira during the FIFA international window. However, as the game is in Argentina, they may return in time to face Grêmio on two April in Barueri.
