The Girona B left Narcís Sala without a reward in an intense and demanding match that was decided by small details. The 2-1 defeat against Sant Andreu was overly harsh on a brave Girona B reserve team that showed phases of good football, especially in a second half dominated by the visitors.

The start determined the outcome. Sant Andreu came out strong and struck early: Walid took advantage of an action inside the area to put the locals ahead in the 6th minute. The goal gave the Barcelona team confidence and forced Girona B to fight back from the very beginning. In another play, Walid once again extended the lead in the 38th minute, punishing the Girona team harshly before halftime.

At the start of the second half, Pol Trigueros reduced the deficit in the 50th minute, capping off Girona B's best moment and completely reopening the match. From that point on, the reserve team grew stronger as the minutes passed, dominated the midfield, and settled in the opponent's territory, creating chances and clear opportunities to equalize.

Accuracy in the final meters was lacking. Sant Andreu defended their lead with experience, resisting the push from Girona B.

Despite the defeat, the Girona B reserve team comes out of the match with strengthened morale. Next Sunday, Girona B will visit Porreres' field at 12 PM.
