National team coach Julian Nagelsmann himself recently confirmed that Karl is now also a topic of discussion in the national team environment. The national team coach spoke to kicker for the first time in more detail about the Bayern talent and made it clear that he is following his development closely.

„Lennart had a super stable time. Now he’s struggling a bit – also because Jamal Musiala is fit again,“ explained Nagelsmann with regard to the attacking player’s recent reduced playing time at the record champions.

At the same time, the national coach emphasized that Karl’s prospects in the DFB team are not necessarily linked to a permanent role in Munich. „I don’t want him to become a regular player so that he can then play in the World Cup, because he won’t.“ Rather, the decisive factors are playing rhythm and self-confidence.

In addition to his personal goals, Karl also has great ambitions for FC Bayern. „We have a big dream in the Champions League – to win the title,“ the 18-year-old also told BILD.
