Bayer Leverkusen aim to finalise their head coach choice by early June, and Bild suggests Oliver Glasner is now the internal favourite.
The former Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt boss is regarded as leading the field to take charge of the Rhineland club.

Club figurehead Werner Wenning wants clarity on what any new coach would improve, and his approval depends on that.
Previously linked candidate Míchel of Girona now appears increasingly likely to join Ajax, with the Dutch side apparently more proactive in negotiations.
The Spaniard is inclined to join the Eredivisie giants.
Meanwhile, suggestions that Brazilian coach Felipe Luis could take over are believed to be well wide of the mark.
