On Friday 27, Gonzalo Plata unfollowed Flamengo on Instagram.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the club’s official account still follows him, and the move drew attention from supporters.

A day earlier, on Thursday 26, he had archived almost all Flamengo-related posts on his profile.

The only Flamengo item left is a photo with the 2025 Libertadores trophy. His feed now mainly features Ecuador, Real Valladolid, Sporting and Independiente del Valle.

Plata has faced disciplinary issues at Flamengo for some time. After Leonardo Jardim arrived, he was omitted from the last match, against Corinthians on Sunday 22, as a technical choice.

Jardim has said the winger is struggling to integrate, adding that the team need concentration, attitude and a big physical effort to chase results.

The coach has approved talks over a move, and the expectation is that Flamengo will look to sell him after the World Cup, when the next window opens. His current absence is due to the March international break, as he is with Ecuador to face Morocco in Madrid on Friday 27 at 17:15 Brasília time.
