Good news for Matarazzo as Guedes and Sucic return rested | OneFootball

Gonçalo Guedes and Luka Sucic will return without playing in their final internationals, good news for Matarazzo, according to Diario Vasco. Duje Caleta-Car did play half an hour in Croatia's defeat to Brazil.

Guedes did not feature in Portugal's second friendly, against the United States in Atalanta, a straightforward win secured by Trincao and Joao Félix. He had half an hour last Thursday against Mexico and has clocked two transoceanic flights. He had only recently rejoined the Portugal squad after four years away.

He is due in Gipuzkoa on Thursday, will train with the squad on Friday, then play on Saturday.

Sucic also sat out Croatia's loss to Brazil in Toronto. Caleta-Car started and was replaced by Pongracic with 30 minutes left.

With Caleta-Car on the pitch, it was 1-0 to Brazil through Danilo. Later goals came from Majer for Ukraine and from Thiago and Martinelli for Brazil near the end.

The two Croatians face a long journey back from Canada, and in principle both should be available to start against Levante on Saturday.
