Gorosabel on the market as Terzic reshapes Athletic | OneFootball

Andoni Gorosabel is understood to be on the market as Athletic begin a new era under Edin Terzic. According to Superdeporte, the right-back could leave San Mamés while the new coach assesses his options.

Terzic has replaced Ernesto Valverde and faces the challenge of returning Athletic to the Champions League race in LaLiga while targeting a Europa League push next season. He will aim to give a different look to a side that had begun to appear tired of Valverde’s ideas.

Gorosabel could fit many mid-table LaLiga teams. The defender has nearly 200 appearances across LaLiga and European competitions.

This season he played 34 matches and supplied two assists.

For now the full-back is working away from his team-mates because of moderate physical problems.

It remains to be seen what his market looks like and whether any top-flight club moves to reinforce the right side of their defence.
