Grêmio supporters rate Luís Castro’s work poor in online poll | OneFootball

Grêmio supporters have delivered a stark verdict on Luís Castro, with 87.79% rating his work as poor. According to Globo.com, the online poll was conducted in recent days.

Another 8.06% called his work reasonable, 2.99% good and 1.16% excellent, from 4,554 votes.

Castro was appointed a little over six months ago and has a 51.35% return from 37 matches. He lifted the Gauchão in March, but since then the side have struggled to find rhythm.

At the World Cup break, Grêmio sit 16th in the Brasileirão, one point above the relegation zone. In the Copa Sudamericana they finished second in Group F and will face Bolívar in the play-offs. In the Copa do Brasil they are into the last 16 after beating Confiança, with Mirassol next.

Since midweek the Portuguese coach has been leading training during the break following a holiday period. The first test comes on Saturday in a friendly against Cascavel in Paraná.
