Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has dismissed suggestions of rift with Erling Haaland after cameras caught the pair in fiery discussion following City’s 3-2 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday.

City appeared in trouble after surrendering 2-0 lead with Leeds equalising in the 68 minute. But Phil Foden rescued the champions with stoppage time winner to end their two match losing streak.

The win lifts City to 25 point from 13 match, four behind leaders Arsenal who face Chelsea on Sunday.

Speaking after the match, Guardiola played down the heated exchange:

Guardiola made clear that the conversation was tactical, not disciplinary and that he remains satisfied with the striker’s overall contribution.

Despite the late victory, Guardiola admitted he was not pleased with City’s overall performance.
