Matteo Guendouzi has scored on his debut for Fenerbahce, just hours after completing the transfer from Lazio, and had a very special celebration against Galatasaray.
He made the move for a reported fee of €28m plus a further €2m in performance-related bonuses, signing the contract in Istanbul on Thursday January 8.

The France international wasn’t exactly known for his goal-scoring prowess, finding the net six times in 111 competitive appearances for Lazio, and 10 in 103 games for Olympique Marseille.
However, he took just 28 minutes to break his duck in the Fenerbahce jersey, having been thrown straight into the starting XI for the giant Turkish derby with Galatasaray.
Guendouzi gathered from the edge of the area and drilled into the near bottom corner with the right boot to open the scoring in this massive match.
The midfielder then celebrated using the ‘Cold Palmer’ gesture made famous by Cole Palmer.
