Guido Rodriguez has told Valencia he intends to stay, with a two-year agreement in place and only the signature outstanding.
According to AS, the club tabled on nine June a two-year contract with an optional extra season and a high salary, believing it suited his profile and age.

He did not reply initially, and in recent days Valencia set 30 June as the deadline to accept or reject the offer.
Rodriguez has now responded and plans to sign, and the deal could be announced in the next few days.
If finalised, he could be available on the first day of pre-season at Mestalla.
He would join Dieng and De Haas, whose arrivals will be confirmed shortly after their contracts end with their respective clubs.
With Guido’s continuity, Carlos Corberán sees one of his main wishes this summer fulfilled.
