Guro Reiten leaves Chelsea for the NWSL

Chelsea have announced the departure of Norwegian international Guro Reiten to NWSL side Gotham FC.

The attacker first joined the Blues from LSK Kvinner in 2019 and became an important part of a successful Blues side winning the WSL six times and being part of the team that lifted a domestic treble last season.

In total, Reiten played 207 times for the London club in all competitions, scoring 59 goals. This season she featured 17 times for Sonia Bompastor's side, netting once.

In a statement on Reiten's departure the club said: "Everyone at Chelsea would like to sincerely thank Guro for her huge contribution to our success over the last six-and-a-half years, and we wish her well during the next chapter of her career in the United States."
