You just knew he would be back at some point.Â
Erling Haaland is back among the goals after quiet start to 2026.Â

The Norwegian was dropped at the weekend after a spell of games without a goal from open play, with Pep Guardiola stating that he has been 'exhausted'.Â
But against Galatasaray this evening in the Champions League, he showed why he is still the best striker in Europe with a delicate chip to open the scoring at the Etihad.Â
After being slid in behind the Galatasaray defence by a superb JĂ©rĂ©my Doku ball, Haaland showed his finesse by coolly dinking the ball over the onrushing the keeper and into the back of the net.Â
In the process, Haaland surpassed the great Thierry Henry in the Champions League scoring charts for non-penalty goals.Â
You just knew he would be back among the goals sooner rather than later, and perhaps now he'll rediscover the rip-roaring form he had at the beginning of the season.
As of now, that goal sees City jump up into the coveted top-eight in the Champions League table.Â
