Habib Beye, appointed Marseille head coach a few weeks ago after Roberto De Zerbi's departure, has suffered a second Coupe de France exit this season.
A few days before taking the job, he had already gone out with Stade Rennais, beaten 3-0 by Marseille at the Vélodrome in the last 16. As reported by L'Équipe, Beye is the first Ligue 1 manager to be eliminated from the same edition with two different clubs.
On Wednesday night, his Marseille side were knocked out by Toulouse after a 2-2 draw, losing 4-3 on penalties.
The dataset underlying that mark runs back to 1945.
In three matches in charge of Marseille, the former Red Star coach has already lost twice, having been beaten 0-2 by Brest on his debut.
